Thomas and Friends Favorite Season 1-3 Episodes (US)

Thomas and Gordon from Season 1 Episode 1

Conductor Wolf's Thomas & Friends  US Season 1 episodes Ranking

Season 1 Episodes Ranking Reasoning

Season 1 episode 1: Thomas Gets Tricked (Favorite Episode)
    • This episode was a great way to start off the Thomas & Friends TV as an alternate start to the show since the original pilot was not aired. Nice way also to start off with introductions to Thomas & Gordon in this episode.
Season 1 episode 2: Edward Helps Out  (Favorite Episode)
  • Another favorite episode of mine with this first season of Thomas & Friends. The reason is that Edward’s crew felt bad for him so they decided to let him out while also proving to Gordon later on in the episode that he pulls his weight on the railway.  This is a nice way to merge between both this and Edward & Gordon story because the first half gave an introduction of Edward while showing viewers in the second half, how important Edward is to the railway by helping Gordon who had teased him at the start of the episode.  The only issue was that Thomas was at the start of the episode which caused confusion because the story revolves around Edward & Gordon as Thomas had the spotlight in the first episode with Gordon. Plus why were Henry & James also at the start unless they were indicating different engines to choose from like in Reverend Wilbert Awdry’s story.
Season 1 episode 3: Come Out, Henry! (Great Episode)
  • This episode would be classified as my first “Great” episode of Season 1. The reason is that first off, the story gives an introduction of Henry really nice at the start of the episode but then shows him being like a kid who hides because he is scared of rain ruining his paint. Also why couldn’t they had the train who came to help, pull from the front of Henry beside pushing from the rear of the train like the passengers have done when they stopped in the tunnel. Also seemed to show early disrespect but soon improved with the next episode in the season.
Season 1 episode 4: Henry to the Rescue (Great Episode)
  • It's nice to see a good ending to the mini trilogy of Edward,Gordon & Henry. Also good to see that Henry had learned a lesson from his action in the previous episode “Come Out, Henry!” about hiding from the rain. The reason for this being on my great category list is that Sir Topham Hat was a bit strict with him but still cared about his engines. Also this episode mainly revolves around Henry coming out of the tunnel that has now been nicknamed Henry’s Tunnel for later reference to the location.

Season 1 episode 5: A Big Day for Thomas (Favorite Episode)
  • It's nice to see a good ending to the mini trilogy of Edward,Gordon & Henry. Also good to see that Henry had learned a lesson from his action in the previous episode “Come Out, Henry!” about hiding from the rain. The reason for this being on my great category list is that Sir Topham Hat was a bit strict with him but still cared about his engines. Also this episode mainly revolves around Henry coming out of the tunnel that has now been nicknamed Henry’s Tunnel for later reference to the location.
Season 1 episode 6: Trouble for Thomas (Great Episode)
  • Another strong Thomas episode teaching kids that we shouldn't act like we know it all. Even though the  episode has to fill in a four minute time limit. This is on my Great category list because the only downfall was that Thomas need to learn how to pull trucks and should have listened to Edward’s warning.
Season 1 episode 7: Thomas Saves the Day (Favorite Episode)
  • Another strong Thomas episode teaching kids that we shouldn't act like we know it all. Even though the  episode has to fill in a four minute time limit. This is on my Great category list because the only downfall was that Thomas need to learn how to pull trucks and should have listened to Edward’s warning.
Season 1 episode 8: James Learns a Lesson (Great Episode)
  • This is labeled as Great on my list because of a few reasons. The first reason was that James got over excited resulting a shower of rain falling on Sir Topham Hatt and resulting in making Edward and the coaches nervous  as James wanted to hurry out of Knapford Station but overshot the first station they stopped at with the coaches. The other reason is that James forgot that Edward told him not to bump the coaches which ended up making him stop resulting in a brake pipe breaking in the second half of the episode where bootlaces were used along with newspaper to cover the hold. But on the bright side he did learn his lesson and overall the episode showcased James' impatience and how he needs to control it.
Season 1 episode 9: Foolish Freight Cars (Favorite Episode)
  • I labeled this as a favorite episode because, there is no really issue that is wrong with the episode. For that reason, I agree with blogger user NWS1991 who said the following during his review of the episode.

  • From Blogger User NWS1991:  This episode was another good one and you kinda see some growth in James. He was punished because he was foolish with some coaches and you can see how sorry he looked and how he wants to make things right. It was another good story and I see no fault with it.

Season 1 episode 10: A Proud Day for James (Favorite Episode)
  • I did like this episode because the episode gave a good character development to James along with a great conclusion to James’ stories. He became a hard worker at the end of his development as a character than when he was a worried type of character when we first saw him in the season.

Season 1 episode 11: Thomas and the Conductor (Great Episode)
  • The reason why I label this as Great is because it was an interesting episode after a break to focus on Jame’ spotlight. I felt this episode is almost a step backwards in Thomas’s character development. The reason is that when we last saw Thomas in S1 Ep 7 “Thomas Saves the Day” he was a helpful and useful engine but in this episode, I felt he took a step backward falling back to his cheeky and argient ways as he now has his own branch line. At the start of this episode he is great but yet he forgets the conductor like in the railway Series Book.
Season 1 episode 12: Thomas Goes Fishing (Favorite Episode)
  • I love this episode of the season because of a reason that NWS1991 says “A memorable story in my opinion and one example of Awdry's statement about Thomas being the inner-child. It brings out a good message about being careful what you wish for and Thomas had to learn that the hard way.”Beside that reason the only thing I would add is that this episode of Thomas is Thomas’ version of James’ episode “James Learns a Lesson” (Season 1 episode 8)
Season 1 episode 13: Terence the Tractor (Great Episode)
  • Another great episode of Season 1 because we get introduced to the first side character on Thomas’ branch line, Terence the Tractor. Beside that, there isn’t really much to discuss except the only detail that resulted in this to be labelled as Great is Thomas being rude to Terence when they first met.

Season 1 episode 14: Thomas and Bertie's Great Race (Great Episode)
  • Like the previous episode, this is also labeled as Great because we meet another side character who is Bertie that challenges Thomas to a race down his branch line. The thing that I felt is wrong is Thomas should have known better to not race. But overall this episode had a great message. Nice development between Thomas and Bertie that we see more of over the course of the show.
Season 1 episode 15: Tenders and Turntable (Good Episode)
  • I found this episode to be not only good but interesting. The reason is that this episode focuses around the three big tender engines (Gordon,Henry &James) where Henry complains about having more tenders and the turntable where James spins around like a top after testing Gordon. Like the episode “Thomas Gets Tricked” the role of Thomas is replaced with James testing Gordon.
Season 1 episode 16: Trouble in the Shed (An "Ok" Episode)
  • This is my only episode where I see problems within the entire season 1. In this episode I feel that Gordon,James & Henry were acting like children by refusing to shunt their coaches until someone else was brought in to their work. There were only a few good parts in this episode: the introduction of Percy, Edward,Thomas & Percy doing their work while Gordon,James and Henry were left in the shed.  Another reason for the classification was that Gordon seemed to control the action of what James,Henry and himself do and felt a tank engine should do the shunting and not them. Also the three of them weren’t happy that Edward who is also a tender engine does shunting when he shouldn’t be doing it which causes confusion and delay for the railway.
Season 1 episode 17: Percy runs Away (Favorite Episode)
  • After the actions that were taken in the previous episode, this seemed a good place to pick up with Percy as he is the main character in this episode. We get to see more of Percy’s personality than we did in the previous episode.

Season 1 episode 18: Henry's Special Coal (Favorite Episode)
  • We returned to Henry as he had a small firebox resulting in Welsh Coal being brought to the island to  help run Henry. In my view, watching this episode hinted at something happening to him to cause a rebuild to a normal size firebox like Gordon’s firebox to run better and faster.
Season 1 episode 19: The Flying Kipper (Great Episode)
  • As we saw in Episode 18, Henry getting Welsh coal seems to have done the trick but only temporarily. In this episode, we see that Henry gets to pull his favorite train and we get told by the narrator about the train. The shock comes toward the midway of  the episode where Henry crashes into a freight train where it seems to show the only option left was to get Henry to crash and send him for a rebuild. The pilot is great but seems to go overboard with this episode with Henry.

Season 1 episode 20: Whistle & Sneezes (Great Episode)
  •  Between these two stories are a great merger for the only reason for both events happening to both Gordon & Henry. In the first half of the episode the story focuses on Gordon with his whistle being a problem until a fitter hit the whistle with his hammer to silence the whistle sound. Then halfway through, the story shifts to Henry who has issues with a group of boys who throws rocks at Henry's passenger cars' windows. Henry then retaliates with a sneezing fit of coal dust out of his funnel at the boys.

Season 1 episode 21: Toby the Tram Engine (Favorite Episode)
  • Reason why this is another favorite episode of mine is that it is like a two part episode between this and episode 22.  This is where Toby meets Sir Topham Hatt while he is on vacation and tells the Fat Controller that his line is shutting down. So as a result Toby gives Sir Topham Hatt and his family the ride before the line is shut down.
Season 1 episode 22: Thomas breaks the Rule (Favorite Episode)
  • Reason why this is another favorite episode of mine is this is like the 2nd part to Episode 21 “Toby the Tram Engine” where Sir Topham Hatt met Toby for the first time and then bought him in this episode because of the need for a tram engine on Thomas’ Branch line where he gets stop by a policemen coming back from Ffarquhar Quarry.

Season 1 episode 23: James in a Mess (Great Episode)
  • This episode had one good point that came out of the episode. The first was the relationship between James and Toby. The downfall of the episode was James calling Toby and his coach dirty objects who then crashes into an oil tank car getting covered in oil.
Season 1 episode 24: Gordon takes a Dip (Good Episode)
  • Out of all the episodes up to this point of season 1, this is the only episode that is not only a good episode but the only funny episode I could think of because of the action Gordon takes on the turntable.  Another Good reason is that between this and Episode 25 “Down the Mine” would have worked great together as one episode.
Season 1 episode 25: Down the Mine (Great Episode)
  • This episode could have gone great with episode 24 but they didn’t think of merging them together because they wanted a 26 episode season.  A nice way to wrap up the first season between Gordon & Thomas who form an alliance to not play tricks. Also there is a scene from the original unaired pilot episode that most don't catch but some do while watching the episode.

Season 1 episode 26: Thomas' Christmas Party (Great Episode)
  • A nice way to end the first season. I do love how they decided to do a Christmas episode. With this episode, I love how we get to see Toby,Terence,Thomas and the rest of the characters we met to do a Christmas party for Mrs.Kyndley.  Even though some might feel this is rushed, I don’t think it was rushed and could have been used as a Christmas special.

Conductor Wolf's Thomas & Friends Season 1 Episodes Ranking Chart

Please note: The chart is made by Tiermaker website. This is my opinionated ranking list of US Season 1

      --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Conductor Wolf's Thomas & Friends  US Season 2 episodes Ranking

      Season 2 Episode Thoughts

      1. Double Trouble (S2 Episode 1)
        • I feel that this episode was great because it brings around the friendship between Thomas and Percy. The only weakness is the ending where like the United Kingdom version has Thomas and Percy make up after losing their friendship over two different issues.  With this episode, it could have been nice to combine with Drip Tank as it was the only story from the (Railway Series Book 30) not adapted to the show.
      2. A Cow on the Line (S2 Episode 2)
        • This is another great episode because the story focuses around cows throughout the episode. Another plus with this episode is how it was funny to see Gordon and Henry complain over a cow on a bridge. But overall this episode does give a message to children. Very interesting how Gordon said they didn't want to hurt the cow even though they were a bit scared.
      3. Bertie's Chase (S2 Episode 3)
        • Another Great Episode of Season 2. Starting with this episode and going to the end makes season 2 distant from Season 1.  Has great action of a chase with Bertie after Edward with Thomas’ passengers.
      4. Saved from Scrap (S2 Episode 4)
        • This is one of my favorite episodes of season 2. A positive sign of the episode is that Edward saves Trevor from scrap for the Victor of Wellsworth and his support of his friends. Along with other positives of Edward. The only downside to this episode is that Edward was more portrayed as a background character while Trevor was the main character.
      5. Old Iron (S2 Episode 5)
        • Falls under my classification of a  great episode of season 2.  Like how this story revolves around Edward and James but the story surrounds James more than Edward as James teased  him but learned his lesson.
      6. A New Friend for Thomas (S2 Episode 6)
        • Another favorite episode of mine. This is a great episode of season 2 and this feels like a part 2 to the “Save from Scrap” episode. Even though Edward and Trevor play a secondary role, it shows how useful Trevor is after being saved from Scrap. Loved the tile as it shows how happy Trevor is even though he is going to work at the harbor.
      7. Percy and the Signal (S2 Episode 7)
        • Another great episode of season 2. I do agree with what NWR1991 says about this episode in his blog. This episode is great because it shows how easy Percy was tricked and learns a lesson about signals. The only thing I will add to my opinion is that the episode shows a similar trait that Percy has which is similar to Thomas.
      8. Duck Takes Charge (S2 Episode 8)
        • A favorite episode and a nice introduction of Duck. It's nice to see how Duck helps Percy stand up to the big tender engines. Also an interesting comparison between the engines and children beside the fact the show is more aimed to the children audiences.
      9. Percy Proves a Point (S2 Episode 9)
        • Classified as a favorite episode because it shows some character development in my opinion of Percy who stands up to Herold the helicopter. The only con to this episode is what NWR1991 says “So while the episode was fun it just feels similar to 'Thomas & Bertie' in my opinion.” which I agreed to a point.
      10. The Runaway (S2 Episode 10)
        • I found this episode to be good. The only good part of the episode was at the end of episode when the inspector flew with Harold to catch Thomas who scrambled into his cab to stop him at the last station. Beside that part, there were some scenes with Duck that would have not been needed but everything else was good.
      11. Percy Takes the Plunge (S2 Episode 11)
        • Great episode of Season 2. The title actually fit the episode because Percy was bumped past a danger sign and rode right off the dock. It's a bit weird to see Bill and Ben before their debut episode. But they saved the illustrators from creating two new engines.
      12. Pop Goes the Diesel (S2 Episode 12)
        • Another great episode of season 2. Diesel's introduction to the series as Britain was fading out Steam engines with Diesels. It's great but Diesel seems to not want to learn and complains about the work.
      13. Diesel's Devious Deed (S2 Episode 13)
        • Another good episode of season 2. This fit perfectly after “Pop Goes the Diesel” episode because Diesel was introduced in the previous episode and started to have issues with Duck and played jokes on him to get him sent away from the big engines to go be with Edward.
      14. A Close Shave for Duck (S2 Episode 14)
        • A very good episode of season 2. Besides being good, it's the only episode that I would find funny in this season. The reason why I say this episode is both good and funny is that watching Duck get shaving cream after crashing into a barber shop.
      15. Better Late Than Never (S2 Episode 15)
        • Classified as a good episode. Beside the fact of work being done on the viaduct, I think Thomas could have been more patient with the bigger engines as there was only one track being used temportaly.  Plus also more time should have been allotted due to the work of strengthening the viaduct. Also this was a great episode to adapt from Book 30 of the Railway Series.
      16. Donald and Douglas (S2 Episode 16)
        • I definitely like this episode of season 2. The reason is that I love the first half of the episode while being a bit disappointed with the second half of the episode. The reason why I was disappointed was that in this episode Donald and Douglas only have about three scenes with the brake van with the last scene being shown where the brake van is smashed by accident. Overall I love the introduction of Donald and Douglas.
      17. The Deputation (S2 Episode 17)
        • Another favorite episode of season 2. This is like Part 2 of Donald and Douglas where the other engines work together to save Donald and Douglas. Love the teamwork to save the twin engines and to keep them on the Island of Sodor. An interesting point I would like to make is that why not have some scene or an episode of Missing Coach like they had before being canceled and never shown.
      18. Thomas Comes to Breakfast (S2 Episode 18)
        • I personally find this a great episode. This is a bit funny when Thomas decides to complain about driving with no driver and ends up crashing through the stationmaster's house during breakfast time.
      19. Daisy (S2 Episode 19)
        • A good episode about a diesel passenger railcar who complains about not pulling cars and just wants to do passenger work. She was brought in after Thomas’s accident with the stationmaster's house in the previous episode.
      20. Percy's Predicament (S2 Episode 20)
        • A good and sweet episode of Percy being the main character of the story. What had happened to Percy wouldn't have happened if Daisy didn’t complain about taking the milk tanker on her morning run with passengers. I do agree with NWR1991 about Bull Eyes would have fit for the next episode after this rather than “The Dieseal” episode.
      21. The Dieseal (S2 Episode 21)
        • A nice introduction of BoCo where Bill and Ben played tricks on him after taking freight cars from them at the junction. It was a great episode. I just wish there could’ve been more use of BoCo than him sitting in one scene.
      22. Wrong Road (S2 Episode 22)
        • A great episode between Edward and Gordon. It was a bit funny because they sent them both on the wrong track causing confusion and delay. Nice to BoCo comes to the aid of Gordon after Bill and Ben play a Trick on him about scrapping. Nice to see a major development with Gordon and nice to see that BoCo delt with Bill and Ben for Gordon like Edward did for him in the previous episode.
      23. Edward's Exploit (S2 Episode 23)
        • My personal favorite episode of Season 2 and also Heroic. In this episode, Edward had his most dynamic role that was heroic after his side rods broke during the rainstorm forcing him to stop. It shows how important and caring Edward was to get his passengers home no matter the cost. Another thing about this episode was that it showed how proud Edward was that he got his passengers to the station to catch their train despite being late.
      24. Percy's Ghostly Trick (S2 Episode 24)
        • A good episode to be shown close to the end of the second season. To me, this fit perfectly as a Halloween episode where Thomas was believing Percy so Percy played a spooky trick on him with the help of Toby. The downside was that Thomas didn’t even look spooked compared to Toby who was as they were in the shed. Nice attempt at a dark tone but still playing it off as a halloween type of dark.
      25. Woolly Bear (S2 Episode 25)
        • Favorite Episode because of the relationship between Thomas and Percy took a dynamic turn as they closed out Season 2. Funny to see how Percy complained about scarfs for his funnel, getting one after crashing into the trolley cart on the track.
      26. Thomas and the Missing Christmas Tree (S2 Episode 26)
        • Love how they continue the ending of the  season with a christmas episode like how they ended season 1. Nice to see how they add the additional engines that were introduced this season at the party except Daisy and BoCo. But I did wish BoCo could have made an appearance instead of Diesel

Conductor Wolf's Season 2 US Episodes Ranking Chart

      -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Season 3 Episode 18 "All at Sea"

Conductor Wolf's Thomas & Friends  US Season 3 episodes Ranking

A Scarf for Percy E1: Great Episode

A very great episode to start off Season 3. Percy complains about wanting a scarf and ends up getting one by accident thanks to crashing into the luggage cart and getting Sir Topham Hatt's pants as the scarf.  Very interesting how season 3 starts off with a winter environment episode

      Percy's Promise E2: Favorite Episode

Nice to see the second episode surrounds Percy as he promised to get Thomas's passengers home safe during a rain storm. The only thing is about the brake van being attached to the train but then after re-watching the episode, I understood why Percy needed the brake van. The possible reason why Percy needed a brake van  is that Percy was not designed to be a Push-Pull type of engine like Thomas. One of my favorites of season 3.

Time for Trouble E3: Great Episode

Another great episode of season 3. Nice to see an interaction between James and Toby. The only thing I see with this episode is why wasn't James on the middle track while pulling the express like the other times he has done and like Gordon when he pulled his passenger train. At least the signalmen apologize to Toby's driver for the confusion during the episode.

Gordon and the Famous Visitor E4: Great Episode

In my opinion this is a great episode of season 3. The reason why it is a great episode is that the episodes gather around Gordon,Duck,Thomas and the Famous Visitor. Gordon hates how the famous visitor went faster than him and he tries to prove it while Thomas talked about the speed record that the famous visitor has broken even though Duck should be saying that since the famous visitor is from the Great Western Railroad.

      Donald's Duck E5: Favorite Episode

I found this episode to be another favorite episode of this season. The reason is that the episode takes place along the coastline where  Duck gets his new branch line but then gets teased by Donald. The only thing that confuses me is the construction at the station which I agree with NWR1991 about the construction.

(NWR1991): In the original story it was a shed they were building, why didn't they go with that? It would make more sense to be honest. Despite that little oddity, I think the story was still good. It was similar to the original story.

Thomas Gets Bumped E6: Favorite Episode

Like the increase of development between Thomas and Bertie. Even though Thomas's branch line closed due to the bent rails, Bertie helped out by moving Thomas's passengers while the bent rails were being worked on. Also nice to see Thomas helping out the school children get home. Even though the plot line was a bit confusing since it was two stories put together, it seemed to work out in my opinion.

Thomas, Percy and the Dragon E7: Favorite Episode

Not only is this one of my favorites, but also a bit funny in the episode.  At the start Thomas teased Percy with the Chinese dragon.  A really great episode between Thomas and Percy along with the music that is used in the episode. The overall message is a nice one to have as the theme.

Diesel Does It Again  E8: Great Episode

With this episode, it fell to being a great episode on my list. I like how this episode shows diesel being given a second chance to work on the Island of Sodor after being sent away in the 2nd season. It's even been interesting to see Duck and Percy working together while the producers wanted a recurring villain which is given to Diesel but later on gets confusing.

      Henry's Forest E9: Favorite Episode

It's very interesting to see a story that surrounds Henry the Green engine. Henry's character development had a major change since the start of the series. Like how this story takes place in the forest before and after a storm comes through that resulted in Henry being sad along with Toby. Nice to see towards the end of the episode when Henry returns he becomes happy to see trees being replanted by Trevor,Terence and the workmen.

The Trouble with Mud E10: "Ok" Episode

I did like this one as a favorite of mine on my list. Nice to see how the table gets turned on Gordon the blue engine. The reason is that after being told by Thomas to get washed down and saw a sign at the next station with James that read "All trains must wash down daily", Gordon felt he was to busy to be washed down by the workmen which resulted in releasing steam and mud all over James. As a result of still being dirty, Sir Topham Hatt pulled Gordon from the express and gave it to Henry to pull while Gordon went to get cleaned. Overall, it's nice to see Gordon to be punished a bit like the rest of the engines but made it up by pulling freight cars and pushing James up Gordon's hill that was slippy.  The only confusion was why did James pull the express from the Shipping Co and not Knaford station.

No Joke for James E11: Good Epsiode

One of my good episodes of season 3. The reason is that this episode almost plays out similar to "Thomas Gets Tricked" (S1 E1) with the exception of James having shunting duty.  Overall the episode is good because the story revolves around James and Gordon.

Thomas,Percy and the Mail Train E12: Favorite Episode

Love the episode as it revolves around Thomas and Percy along with the favorite trains on the railway. Like how the mail trains are important but having an issue faced with Herold the helicopter taking over the mail run but it fails after Herold the helicopter crashes into a hay stack. It's a lovely episode and nice to see how mail gets around the island.

      Trust Thomas E13: Great Episode

I found this episode to be a great episode. Reason is that everything about the episode was great except the fact of James playing ill being a subplot of the episode while the main plot was trusting Thomas of finding the missing oil tanker that is needed for the road according to Bertie the bus.

      Mavis E14: Great Episode

As for the episode, Mavis was an interesting character to see progressing. She was an inexperienced and impatient diesel engine who is young and wants things done in her way. Her character is like a rebellious teenager and her dealing with Toby feels like she was dealing with her father who told her to do things the proper way. Overall nice to see an added engine to Thomas's Branch line even though she works and is owned by the quarry.

      Toby's Tightrope E15: Favorite Episode

This episode in my opinion is like part 2 to the Mavis episode (S3 E14). The reason is that in "Mavis" we are introduced to her and see her doing some of the work whereas in the episode we see her wanting to go further down the branch line like Toby.

Edward,Trevor and the Really Useful Party E16: Favorite Episode

Except for the title being changed everything is really good. Edward seems to have a minor role to play in the episode with getting people to the party at the orchard that belongs to the victor of Wellsworth. It's a lovely episode that takes place on Edward's branch line.

James Goes Buzz Buzz E17: Great Episode

Not only a great episode but an interesting one of season 3. The reason is that James gets stung by a bee that broke out of the bee hive that fell apart off the lunge cart at the station.  The title made the episode seem pretty interesting. Could have worked out in season 2 with BoCo appearing but I guess the producers felt it was better off in season 3 with James going by the orchard to see Trevor.  Overall it was a bit funny watching James getting rid of the bees.

All at Seas E18: Favorite Epsiode

As an original idea, it turned out to be a great episode. Love how they expanded on Duck's personality about the sea and compared it to how Thomas wants to see the world. The ending of the episode having the camera shot of Duck with Thomas and Percy with the sunset along with the music by Mike and Junior Campbell was beautiful. The entire episode was lovely and nice to have after a funny episode of James Goes Buzz Buzz in my opinion.

One Good Turn E19: Good Episode

A very good episode that details Bill and Ben. Good to see an interaction of character development between the two twin engines. Like how instead of them fighting like they usually are doing, the episode flips their behavior around to working together rather than fighting. Even the title sounds good but mostly the story follows Bill and Ben who complain and fight but gets better. this episode works better as a subplot than an episode by itself.

      Tender Engines E20: Good Episode

Another good episode with Flying Scottman's tenders showing from the shed at the docks but not the engine himself is sad. Anyway it is nice to see they still manged to retain some of the original story. Still found it to be good even with original parts being made because of the budget they had to work around.

      Escape E21: Favorite Episode

Really nice to see they've written an entire new opening with Edward talking about him and the vicar saving Trevor and sharing some importance about saving something from scrap which gave Douglas the idea of saving Oliver. Nice to see it being similar to Season 2 episode 4 "Saved from Scrap" with the difference being Douglas playing the role of Edward and Oliver playing the role of Trevor. It is very interesting to see this style of introduction than being bought like Thomas, Edward, Percy, Gordon, Henry, Duck,James & Toby.  Another thought about this episode is even though this is part of a children's TV Show but gives a sense of saving a steam train from scrapyard in real life that was hidden among the episode with the scenes of Oliver looking like Scraped engine in a scrapyard.

Oliver Owns Up E22: Favorite Episode

Another one of my favorite episodes this season. This episode in my opinion feels like a Part 2 to the previous episode. In the episode of Escape we meet Oliver whereas in this episode we can see his development and his first day of being on Sodor.

      Bulgy E23: Great Episode

I found this episode to be another great episode of season 3.  Its a nice introduction of Bulgy the bus but having him set up to complain and annoying to the engines is a bit overrated to say the least in my view of this episode. Seeing the side of Duck being annoyed due to having to listen to Bulgy is actually interesting and funny.

      Heroes E24: Great Episode

My last great episode of season 3 in my viewpoint. The reason is that adaptation is great but seeing them more away from their quarry is a bit confusing since they belong to the Sodor Clay Pits and not to the Fat Controller. Also with the plot being play as Bill and Ben pushing/pulling trucks daily is a bit weak in the sense of working around the docks and not between the dock and the clay pits.

Percy, James and Fruitful Day E25: Favorite Episode

The episode is a favorite one because of the funny moments made by James and Percy's dynamic  character relationship. Even though the accident of Percy crashing into a boxcar is sad but a bit funny when fruit fly everywhere.

Thomas and Percy's Mountain Adventure E26: Favorite Episode

This episode was my all time favorite episode of season 3. The reason is that the events played out in the episode were amazing. As for the story, this was probably the best Christmas episode from the series. The episode doesn't involve a Christmas party like the last two seasons and it was more focused on being helpful and kind at the time of the year.  Even though here in the United States, they played the episode off more towards thanksgiving while in Great Britain they played it as a Christmas episode, it still had the same message of being helpful and kind to all.  I did like how the music was tucked in between the lines where the narrator says "but then an early snowstorm came..(Music)....the island was covered with thick snow......" during the snowstorm having the harp playing while watching different parts of the Island getting covered in snow was terrific. Overall an amazing episode and it was terrific but the sad thing is that they didn't continue having a Christmas related story only winter related stories later on in the TV series.
